New Release- Fan Page Challenge March Simply B Stamps

All I can say is Wow! Wow! Wow! for the new release over at http://simplybstamps.net/ . The flower fairy collection are so great to colour and I can think of lots of friends I can make them for as well as Mother's Day coming up.
The first image I coloured was Mushroom Fairy Rio.

I made this image up into an easel card. The butterflies were from a Memory Box die flourish (Fluttering Corner). Bling for the card were from Flourish with a Bling and all of the Papers were from the 'Tea for Two' range by Cosmo Cricket. The papers were inked around the edge with
Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. Waterfall Stickles was added to the wings and the fairy's eyelids.

Wendy Tulip Fairy was my second image. The papers on this card are from October Afternoon and I mounted them onto red cardstock after inking the edges with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.

The flourish on this card was from Dusty Attic. I inked it with Brushed Corduroy. The sentiment has been mounted with foam tape to raise it above the flourish. All bling is from Flourish With A Bling and the flowers are from my stash.
I can hardly wait to colour the other fairies in this collection!

Feathery Boudoirs- Simply B Stamps

The new release from http://simplybstamps.net/ is just a few hours away and the images are going to have you wanting to get out your markers straight away...in the meantime, I have been keeping busy colouring up the beautiful Feathery Boudoirs. The first one for today is Tail Feathers Melissa.

I coloured her using Copics and some Prismacolor pencils to add details on the fan. Other details on this card include the use of a Marianne Designs die, a Spellbinders die in the background, Kaisercraft Sparklets, Bella bling . The flowers and lace were from my stash.

My second card is using the digi image Feathery Betty. I have to admit that the blue was not my favourite colour choice but I was trying to play with some different colours. I hadn't thought about how many shades of blue there are until I tried matching up papers and flowers...aaahh!

I have used a Martha Stewart punch 'Deco Tassell' in the background. Bella bling and some blue Basic Gray rhinestones are used for decoration and the flowers are from my stash...yes, it's far too big!! Again I used Copics to colour adding detail with Prismacolor pencils. The two work nicely together.

Reading With Goblins Journal Cover

I have been experimenting with monochromatic colour schemes today and have used the W series of Copics along with a black Prismacolour Pencil to colour the gorgeous Steampunk image 'Reading With Goblins' from the Beauty and the Beast series over at http://simplyb.net/ .
To make up the journal cover, I tried unsuccessfully to spray colour the canvas cover using Dylusions- the black ink failed to penetrate the layers but dyed my fingers! LOL
I had more success with black gesso- onto which I added layers of paper from Prima's Printery 8x8 paper pad. The flowers were also by Prima but are a few years old. I added different metal charms using gel medium.
Now to think of what I will be putting inside the journal! Have fun crafting and if you stop by Simply Betty Stamp's blog page over the weekend you will see there is a great offer for purchasing the steampunk images- I am sure you will get totally addicted like me! Jackie

Take A Bow- Simply Betty's Feathery Boudoirs

Madame Frou Frou is the first digi from http://simplyb.net/ that I have made up into a card. They are so much fun to colour and are available to buy as digis and in rubber. I should also mention that Betty has a great deal on her digis this weekend...I am planning on filling in some gaps in my collection while this is on!
Here is my colouring guide using Copics for Madame Frou Frou:
Skin: E51,  E53, E93
Hair: Y21, E35 (some pencil added)
Pink Feathers: RV11, E74 (some pencil added)
I have been experimenting with adding some fine pencil lines on these images to try and make the fans look more feathery.
The paper I have used is from my Prima stash. I added a doiley, white painted chipboard, Bella bling and flowers and tulle. The tulle has been gathered and then tie with the wire on the flower that is in the centre of the bow. All paper was inked using Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.
I hope you like it! Stay tuned for the next Boudoir!
