Peaceful/Harmony Challenge-TTPH

I have to say that foxes are right up there with owls in my favourite animals list...so how lucky was I to have the opportunity to cover this cute pair! This gorgeous digi called "Fox Couple" is from Sweet Escape. You can visit the store here.
I coloured them in using Copic markers and chose patterned paper and embellishment in Autumn tones as this time of year always seem peaceful to me in the wind down to Winter.

I hope you will enter the new challenge this fortnight at Through The Purple Haze.

Peacock Card for Bizzy Becs

The July Challenge has started and as always the theme is Anything Goes.
I have bought the  Feathers Collection Darkroom Door rubber stamps to experiment with and this card was my first creation.
I really love peacock feathers and decided to create the colour in them by making a background on gloss card. I did this using Brushos (watercolour crystals). These are great fun to use if you get a chance to play with them. I just sprinkled them on the card and spritzed with lots of water. The colours I used were Emerald Green and Cobalt Blue.
I got rid of the pools of excess colour using a sheet of watercolour paper (This I will save for another project later on).
I dried the paper with my heat gun and then stamped the peacock feather using Black Archival Ink.

I inked around the edge of the paper with brown ink and then put some Cosmic Shimmer Glue for Gilding flakes on a piece of foam so that I could add it to the feather stamp. I stamped glue around the edges and then rubbed Gold Gilding flakes over the images.
The border is a Tile Works die by Spellbinders. I rubbed glue around the edges of it and then rubbed the same flakes into the black card.
I added some remnant of different textured wool to the bottom of the main image before layering everything up.
I am hoping to experiment more with this stunning stamp set  for the middle of the month.
What will you enter into the challenge?
