Through the Purple Haze Birthday Challenge

I can not believe it is the start of a new month! Where did August go?
There were so many entries in last month's flower challenge at
This month has a birthday theme and I have used one of the great digis  "Lucas" from
Zuri Artsy Crafty on Etsy.

Copic Colours used:
Jeans: B99, B97, B95, B93, B00
Hat: W0, W2, W4
Shirt and Shoes: R24, E07, R89, E93
Skin: E00, E53, R93
Cake: BG34, BG13, R22, E93
Hair: E37, E47, E79, W10

I used a 6x6 pad from MME- Lime Twist/ Life of the Party
This paper was double sided so I managed to get all four paper variations from two sheets.
The bottom pink strip was a sizzix die and the large frame was a new one to my stash from Presscut called lattice frame. I love how there was a centre piece as a separate die in the set.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope you get a chance to enter the challenge- spare birthday cards are always handy to have made up!
Happy Crafting, Jackie x

Something New Challenge

The new challenge at Polkadoodle's Challenge Blog for this fortnight is to use something new to you. I waslucky enough to have the opportunity to play with the Work and Play 5 Collection- Hollybobs and now have my first Christmas card made!

The angel, sentiment, holly, heart and snowflake papers were all printed from the collection.
This was my first way of making a card in this fashion.
I used a spellbinders die to create a layer, a lace remnant, red bling and the blue paper has been embossed with a holly design. All pieces were edged in Brushed Corduroy Distress Stain- I think the inking takes away the starkness of white edges with fussy cutting.
Hoping to see lots of you playing with Something New for the challenge...perhaps you will choose something new from the Polkadoodles store!
Have a wonderful weekend, Jackie
