African Inspiration forBizzy Becs

Hello Everyone,
I have begun to make some Birthday cards to get me a little bit ahead for the start of the year.
The stamps are made of red rubber and always stamp beautifully. I stamped this image using Memento ink.
I coloured the image using Copic markers and then tore out the word Cheetah. Both pieces were edged using Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.
I wanted to add a bit more interest in the background so used the Tim Holtz stamp set 'Slight Alterations' with Stormy Sky Distress Ink. I used different parts of the stamp in different spots...not worrying about overlapping or using a stamping block.

I hope you have a chance to enter the Anything Goes challenge over at the store blog this month.

Seaside Collage Card

Happy New Year, everyone! This year I have made myself a promise to try my best to craft each week and record the things I make on my blog. This is my first project for the year for Bizzy Becs store and I have used a Darkroom Door Collage Stamp  called 'Seaside Squares' as the feature. These are great red rubber stamps and come in a range of themes.
I used watercolour paper in the background and layersof blue and green paint. When the paint was nearly dry I flicked water over the paper to add texture patches.
Next I cut out some bubbles using the Frantic Stamper die 'Bubble Border'. I placed this diagonally on the watercolour background.
I used Memento black ink to stamp my image onto blending paper and then coloured using Copic markers. I cut out each square and backed it with foam tape to add dimension.

I hope you too are making lots of time for being creative.
Thanks for stopping by and  happy crafting,
Jackie

Happy Birthday, Whipper Snapper!

My Birthday Card today for Bizzy Bec's features a cute mouse stamp from Whipper Snapper stamps called 'Bradstreet's Birthday'.
I used Memento ink to stamp the image and then coloured it using Copic markers.
I used a few different sizes in stitched frames to make my layers and also the LaLaLand die 'Heart Banner' and Spellbinders 'Phrase Set One' for the sentiment.

It was a nice, simple make- perfect for the lead up to Christmas which seems busy already!!
I hope you make time to enter the challenge for the store this month to be in the running for a prize. There is also a treasure hunt on the store site you can enter.

Poppy to Remember

I have had the gorgeous Flower Garden set of red rubber stamps for a while now and thought I might use the poppy from the set as Remembrance  Day draws near.
The flower and the stem are separate so I made a little paper mask to overlay the two images.
The images were stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured using Copic markers.
I used Spellbinders dies- Labels Twenty and Fancy Framed Tags Three as well as a Martha Stewart Punch for the border.
The textured background was made using Taylored Expressions 'Braided' embossing folder and all pieces were inked using Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.

The dies and Stamps are available to order from Bizzy Becs Store.
Don't forget to enter the challenge this month.
Thanks for stopping by,
Jackie

Woodland Whimsy

I really love little fox images and this stamp from Wild Rose Studios called Mummy Fox and Baby was so cute I just had to colour it!
I wanted to create a woodland background so used some cloud patterned paper for the background and then used Memory Box- Medium Forest Archway on top. The sentiment was from Tim Holtz Thinlits series- Celebration Words. You can check in store for availability as Bec stocks this brand of dies.
Finally, I foam mounted the fox image which has been coloured with Copic markers.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will enter your creations into the monthly challenge for Bizzy Becs. You might like to also check out all the great specials in store to celebrate her birthday!

Born to be Wild

My card this week is made using the Darkroom Door background stamp 'Zebra' and
Wild Africa Vol 1 both of these are currently on special over at Bec's Store.

The background stamp would look great stamped on orange card too for a tiger background.
The image was coloured using Copic markers and edged with distress stain.

I used the Tim Holtz  Sizzix Thinlits Die Set -Mixed Media 4 for another little layer.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

On The Wild Side

Darkroom Door have some gorgeous stamp sets featuring African Animals and these are available for purchase from Becs store. I have to say I am really impressed with the quality of the image and the detail. This card has used two stamps- the lion image and the words Wild Africa. I think I will experiment with this stamp further using some of my dies but the image is gorgeous to use as a feature on its own. This one was coloured using Copic markers and I used Distress Ink around the edge of all layers to finish them nicely.

You can view a range of Darkroom Door Stamps on store page here and they are 25% off at the moment. There is a great range perfect for Fathers Day!!

Bunny and Butterfly

It has been so nice to pull out some craft supplies and make a card this week. I have not crafted much this past year but am looking forward to getting back into the swing of it. Sitting in my supplies were some beautiful products from Bizzy Becs that I had not used yet.
The first of these was the embossing folder 'dotted lattice' from Taylored Expressions. It made a great textured background for the 'Bunny and Butterfly' image from Wild Rose Studio. Both of these products are available through Bec's store. I also Spellbinders 'Heart Circles' for the green circle- Bec is able to order in Spellbinders products for you and does have a range of products from this company in store.
I coloured the image using Copic markers and then cut it out before foam mounting it on the card.
I hope I have given you a little inspiration. Looking forward to seeing your entries in the challenge- you can enter using the link here.

January Challenge- BizzyBecs

Happy New Year, Everyone! 2017 is going to be a wonderful one. I have set myself a goal to make more time each week to create. I have so many ideas in my head and need to see more of them become a real, completed projects.
I am off to a start with my inspiration card for this month's Anything Goes challenge at Bizzy Becs. If you have been over to the store site lately you will see a new section of Bizzy Bec's Choice of products at an amazing 30% off!!!
I always have such a hard time deciding which dies or stamps to get next but I have tried to plan ahead for both Valentine's Day and Easter this year.
My card below uses the IndigoBlu Stamps 'Live, Laugh, Love' again. Last time I used these stamps I masked my design but this time I stamped on white card using Memento Ink, cut out the layers I needed and created an arrangement using tape and foam tape. I coloured the design after it was constructed using Copic markers.

The sentiment is also from this stamp set. I cut the sentiment out using a Spellbinders gold die- Labels 4. The white card was inked using Distress Ink in both Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap.
I love a stamp set I can use for lots of different projects!
What will you create for the challenge this month?
I look forward to seeing your projects.

December with Bizzy Bec's Papercraft

Summer is here and the weather is warming up. I love going to the beach and this collection of red rubber seashell themed stamps will be perfect for so many scrapbooking pages as well as cards I know my set will be well used!
The  'Seashell' stamp collection is by Darkroom Door and is available by clicking the link here.
I began this card by cutting a scrap of cream Bazzill cardstock and adding blue watercolour paint to add colour to the centre of the card.
Next I distressed the edges of the cardstock.
On separate cream card I used Rich Cocoa Memento ink to stamp out the images. The images were quick to cut out and I love how they have shading- this means you will have dimension in your colouring even if you only use one colour.
I used foam tape to adhere the shells to the background. I curved the shell sand varied the height /layers of the foam to add dimension.

I hope you have some time during this busy month to get some crafting time in, Jackiex

I had lots of fun colouring this gorgeous mermaid digi from Broken Fairy Designs. It is called Jelly Walk and you can find the link here.

I coloured the image with Copic markers and then added some Waterfall Stickles over the top for a little bit of sparkle. The edge of the card is inked with Mowed Lawn distress ink and the die in the background is by Spellbinders. I added little pearls to the edges.
I hope you have time to make something wonderful for this fortnight's challenge at
TTPH- Add Embellies.

Fox On A Branch- Bizzy Becs

Looking back over my blog, I noticed a few foxes. I love the colour of their coats but they have not been welcome visitors to our chook yard!
Today's card for Bizzy Becs features a stamped image called Fox On A Branch from Wild Rose Studio. You can order it  from the store here.
I coloured the image using Copic markers.

The Hi sentiment was from the Phrase Set One by Spellbinders.
The other die I have used is a set of trees (turned sideways to look like branches). It is DIE310-WW fom Impression Obsession. Bec stocks items from both of these companies in her store so just contact her for availability.
I hope you will join in the November challenge where Anything Goes. The link is here.

TTPH challenges with Fabrika Fantasy

I have just loved sitting down and spending some time colouring the Werewolves Chieftain Colouring Page from Fabrika Fantasy. They have lots of detail in many of their digi images. I chose to make my image into a card ready for a friend who loves the supernatural.

I coloured the image using Copic markers and some touches of metallic pen. I have been thinking this would be nice to do using some flower soft in the foliage so may have another play!
I hope you get a chance to check out the store and then enter the challenge over at Through The Purple Haze. It's a  favourite colour combo challenge this fortnight.

Spring is in the Air

This stamp set from IndigoBlu makes me think of Spring with its beautiful collection of flowers leaves and winged creatures as well as some sentiments. They have lovely detail and are made of red rubber which means they can withstand heat and lots of different media well.
I used masking for this card making a mask for the bird and large flower to create a mini scene. I use stickynotes  for my masks  so that they stay in place. The thin paper  these are made of also makes them perfect.

The stamp set "Live, Laugh, Love" is available to buy from Bec's store following the link here. She also has some great Christmas stamps available to pre-order.
Don't forget to enter your creations in the monthly "Anything Goes" challenge here, too.

Hush Little Bunny Card for Bizzy Becs

Well, life on the home front has been a bit more hectic than normal but I am glad I've managed to have some time to create this month. I had some great new products arrive in the mail from Bec's store included some Gorjuss girl stamps. I used one of these for my inspiration piece this month.
The stamp set is called Hush Little Bunny and the frame, flowers, hearts and image are all from the set. I stamped the images using Archival Ink and stamped the flowers several times to create a ground level. The image was coloured using Prismacolor Pencils-I used lots of light layers to build up some depth. Highlights were with white gel pen and black for the eyes.
Flowers, lace and a bit of bling finished off my card.
I really like how big these stamp sets are- they are great for beginning colourists.

I hope you find time to enter the challenge this month for a chance to win a mystery stamp or die and if you are in need of more supplies don't forget all of the wonderful dies and stamps in Bec's Store.
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Peaceful/Harmony Challenge-TTPH

I have to say that foxes are right up there with owls in my favourite animals list...so how lucky was I to have the opportunity to cover this cute pair! This gorgeous digi called "Fox Couple" is from Sweet Escape. You can visit the store here.
I coloured them in using Copic markers and chose patterned paper and embellishment in Autumn tones as this time of year always seem peaceful to me in the wind down to Winter.

I hope you will enter the new challenge this fortnight at Through The Purple Haze.

Peacock Card for Bizzy Becs

The July Challenge has started and as always the theme is Anything Goes.
I have bought the  Feathers Collection Darkroom Door rubber stamps to experiment with and this card was my first creation.
I really love peacock feathers and decided to create the colour in them by making a background on gloss card. I did this using Brushos (watercolour crystals). These are great fun to use if you get a chance to play with them. I just sprinkled them on the card and spritzed with lots of water. The colours I used were Emerald Green and Cobalt Blue.
I got rid of the pools of excess colour using a sheet of watercolour paper (This I will save for another project later on).
I dried the paper with my heat gun and then stamped the peacock feather using Black Archival Ink.

I inked around the edge of the paper with brown ink and then put some Cosmic Shimmer Glue for Gilding flakes on a piece of foam so that I could add it to the feather stamp. I stamped glue around the edges and then rubbed Gold Gilding flakes over the images.
The border is a Tile Works die by Spellbinders. I rubbed glue around the edges of it and then rubbed the same flakes into the black card.
I added some remnant of different textured wool to the bottom of the main image before layering everything up.
I am hoping to experiment more with this stunning stamp set  for the middle of the month.
What will you enter into the challenge?
Happy crafting,
Jackie x

If Dogs Could Talk- Bizzy Becs

The Taylored Expressions die and stamp set "If Dogs Could Talk" arrived in my mail box a few weeks ago and I had a chance to play with them over the weekend. I really love all the different expressions you can add to the dog. I think I will have to make up a card using each one. This is my first time of using Taylored Expressions stamps and I have to say they stamp beautifully with a nice clear image. Bec has a great range of these in her store at terrific prices.
I used Poppy Stamps "Celebrations Balloons" Dies and Die-Namics "Instaframe" die on my card.
The images were stamped with Black Archival Ink and coloured with Copic markers.
I lifted the frame up and some of the balloons using double sided foam tape.

I hope I have given you some inspiration!

The June challenge has begun over at Bizzybec's Challenge Blog. There is always a great monthly prize from the store. For June there will to be a lucky draw for the month for purchases from the store, too. Click the link here.
This month I have used a Gorjuss girl stamp colouring it with Copic markers. I then cut around the image using a die from the Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles Collection.
I love the embossed background created with Taylored Expression's Raindrop Embossing Folder. Bec has great prices on these and I confess I had to buy the whole collection!
All paper pieces are inked with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.
It is stocktake time at the moment in the store and in this section there are many mulberry flowers similar to those I have used in my card.

I hope you are inspired to pop over to the store and check out the great range of products at terrific prices.

There is a great new challenge over at Through The Purple Haze this fortnight. Use a die/punch in your creation and enter the challenge.
Our sponsor is SLS Lines. I am glad they are our sponsor as they were a new company to me and I have to say there are some great images to choose from. I will certainly be signing up for their emails.
The image I have used is Calavera Girl 2 Day of the Dead.

I coloured the digi image using Copic markers.
I used a die from the Spellbinders Gold Labels 4 to cut around the image and then inked the edges using Gathered Twigs Distress Stain.
The black floral background is a Fiskars die which cuts and embosses beautifully.
The background paper is by Bo Bunny. The edges of this are also inked.
