Take A Bow- Simply Betty's Feathery Boudoirs

Madame Frou Frou is the first digi from http://simplyb.net/ that I have made up into a card. They are so much fun to colour and are available to buy as digis and in rubber. I should also mention that Betty has a great deal on her digis this weekend...I am planning on filling in some gaps in my collection while this is on!
Here is my colouring guide using Copics for Madame Frou Frou:
Skin: E51,  E53, E93
Hair: Y21, E35 (some pencil added)
Pink Feathers: RV11, E74 (some pencil added)
I have been experimenting with adding some fine pencil lines on these images to try and make the fans look more feathery.
The paper I have used is from my Prima stash. I added a doiley, white painted chipboard, Bella bling and flowers and tulle. The tulle has been gathered and then tie with the wire on the flower that is in the centre of the bow. All paper was inked using Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.
I hope you like it! Stay tuned for the next Boudoir!

Coffee and a Book Rio Card

My card today uses a new digi image from http://simplybstamps.net/ . It is called Coffee and Book Rio. I really love this image and can see it being useful for my friends and my daughters' friends for gift cards through the year.

Top: R46, R59, E79
Hair: E35, E39, E79

I used a mixture of paper from my stash for this card including some from Studio Calico.

Valentine's Box Card

Today I have made a box card using Cupid Ariel from http://simplybstamps.net/ . She is my final image to use from the Jude Valentine Collection...although I have a few more variations using these cards to make up...I got carried away colouring!
Ariel is coloured using the following Copic markers:
Skin: E51, E55, E95
Hair: E57, E55, E59
Clothes: RV13, RV23, RV21
I used a piece of Spellbinder packaging for the acetate- it was sturdier than normal acetate and held up the weight of the larger shapes well.
Bo Bunny 'Head Over Heels' collection of papers were used again and the sparkly hearts and flourishes were from my sticker stash.
I used a new Martha Stewart punch- 'heartbeat' around the base of the card and used a Spellbinder's heart embossing folder with Tim Holtz Distress Paper for the outsides. The paper was lightly sanded to show the embossed design. The clouds were cut using a Memory Box die.

'I Love You, Oscar' Card

Today's card is from The Jude Valentine Collection over at simplybstamps.net/ . I am having a smile to myself as the two boys in this range seem bewildered by the Valentine's gifts they receive.

I coloured Oscar in with my Copics in the following order:
Skin:E51, E52, R02
Hair: E55, E57, E59
Shirt: Y15, FY1, Y17
Jeans: B26, B45, B93
Shoes: C1, C3

I used two different pieces of paper from The Bo Bunny 6x6 pad 'Head Over Heels' collection (I'm proud that this may be the most used paper pad in my collection!!). I covered the join between the two papers using bias tape...I love this versatile product and coloured the white tape black with my Copics- you can colour it any colour this way.
The corners have black Kaisercraft Sparklets. Flowers were from my stash and i brushed them with white acrylic paint. The embellishment embellishment from Twiddlybits was coloured using Black Marble Dylusions spray.

Valentine's Day is on it's Way!

I have not posted since my busy month leading up to Halloween but plan on a big blogging year as I join Simply Betty Stamps on the Promotional Design Team with Elisbete. It was very exciting news to find out I had been given this role! Over the next few weeks I will be showcasing some of the gorgeous digis from the Jude Halloween range available from http://simplybettystamps.com .
Today I made a card using Ali Kitty Kiss. She is such a sweetie.
I coloured her in using Copic markers.
Skin:E51, E53,R02
Hair: W8, W10, E37, E59
Stockings: W0, W2, RV21, RV23
Dress: RV04, RV21, RV32, RV14
Cat: W0, W2, W3, W4

To make my card I used papers from Studio Calico's Classic Calico Collection (brown) and Bo Bunny's Head Over Heels Collection. All paper was mounted on brown Bazzill paper and the image was cut out and adhered to the paper using foam tape to add dimension. I finished with flowers and flourishes from my stash.
I hope you will join me this year making pieces using Simply Betty's fantastic images. Drop by each week and leave a comment, Jackie.
